Kanya
Allen, APSU Graduate Student, Corporate Communication
Graduated from the four
year Honors Program, former Laurel Wreath Honors Society President
“Being in the Honors
Program really enhanced my college education. I was able to interact
with students like myself, as well as study under knowledgeable
professors. One of the highlights of my college career was giving
the address during the Awards Day ceremony as president of the Laurel
Wreath Honor Society, an opportunity I never would have been afforded
without the Honors Program. My mother still talks about how proud
she was to see me share the stage with such distinguished professors.
Again-not possible without the Honors Society!” |

Christine
Idoux, APSU Graduate Student, Corporate Communication
Graduated from the four
year Honors Program
"I loved being part
of the Honors program and having the opportunity to interact with
other students who were like me. We are not dorks, we just love
to learn! I also lived in Harvill Hall which I loved because it
is in the middle of everything. I could sleep til 7:45 and still
be on time for my eight o'clock class! Join us, you will love it." |

Anita
LeRoy, APSU Senior Physics Major with Minors in Math and Astronomy
Completed the two year
Honors Program
Anita enjoys the freedom
that the honors program grants her. Professors allow her own interests
and ideas to guide her progress on assignments throughout the class
rather than relying on a strict syllabus. Another opportunity the
program provides is the interaction with students who are outside
her major. Realizing that there are not a lot of chances for most
students to hear people outside of their major voice their opinion
on different topics, she enjoys the fact that the Honors Program
gives her this chance. The Honors Program is able to bring in a
variety of perspectives on issues by joining a group of diverse
students. |
